Media Release - CIMHMF - Hall of Fame Inductees for 2010 Announced
The Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame (CMHF), has announced eight individuals, one family and two groups to be inducted at the fifth annual Hall of Fame Induction Banquet & Reunion, to be held November 6, 2010, at the Delta Burnaby Hotel and Conference Center in Burnaby (Vancouver), BC.

The Motorcyclists Confederation of Canada (MCC) is the title sponsor of the Annual Induction Banquet, and has been since the Halls inception. More than $100,000 has been contributed by MCC to operation of the Foundation.

The next AMA International Women and Motorcycling Conference, being held August 18-22, 2009 in Keystone, Colorado, is shaping up to be an event not to be missed!

7th Annual Dead Zone Dual-Sport Motorcycle Ride
May 3, 2009: for immediate release- The premier annual dual-sport motorcycle event in British Columbia is named after a series of challenging trails in the Onion Lake Riding Area west of Spences Bridge.  We anticipate almost 200 participants on the first Saturday of July, who will enjoy a day ride through the spectacular ‘Gold Country’ region.
MCC & AMA Collaborate on Women's Conference, Provide Registration at Par
MCC’s Women Riders Council Chair, LIZ JANSEN, has joined the Advisory Council for the AMA’s International Women and Motorcycling Conference, being held August 19-22 in Keystone, Colorado.

Canadians Stronly Represented at Off-Highway Council Conference
Twenty-three of the 140 delegates were Canadians at the 19th annual conference of the National Off Highway Vehicle Conservation Council (NOHVCC) held in Houston, TX, March 24-29.
U.S. Lead Products Ban Will Have North-American Wide Implications
The Consumer Product Safety Council ban on sales of products with lead to those  12 and under has huge implications.  It covers ANY products, apparel, musical instruments, bicycles, ETC.  And, or course, youth-sized motorcycles (50cc, 90cc, etc) and ATVs cannot be sold either.
Expanding Representation For Off-Roaders In NB
The New Brunswick ATV Federation (NBATV)  is evaluating various options to expand its operations to serve the off-road motorcycle community in the province.  There is presently no motorcycle federation – off-road or street – in NB, and the number of off-road motorcycle clubs is small.

Attention Off Road Motorcyclists (Trail Riders)
Northumberland County Staff are recommending that Off Road Motorcycles (ORMs) not be allowed to use the trails in Northumberland Forest due to Ecological, Environmental and Noise concerns. This is not necessarily the view of the Northumberland Forest Advisory Committee (NFAC) whose recommendations are not forwarded to your council.

The Results Are In! Off-Road Vehicle Riding Is Good For Your Body and Soul

Toronto, Ontario, August 26, 2010 –The Canadian Off-Highway Vehicle Distributors Council (COHV) and its funding partners the All-Terrain Quad Council of Canada (AQCC), the Motorcyclist Confederation of Canada (MCC) and the government of Nova Scotia have received the first of four reports from York University, confirming that riding all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and off-road motorcycles (ORMs) is good for your body and soul.
 
"Jamie F. Burr, Veronica K. Jamnik, Jim A. Shaw and Professor Norman Gledhill at York University’s Physical Activity and Chronic Disease Unit, Faculty of Health conducted the study. The purpose of the research -- to characterize the physiological demands of recreational off-road vehicle (ORV) riding under typical ORV riding conditions using habitual recreation ORV riders.
