Joanne Peat

Joanne grew up on a farm in southern Saskatchewan riding/driving anything she could get here hands on - dirt bikes, ATVs, tractors, trucks, etc.  She bought her first street bike in 1984 and now, six motorcycles later, is riding a 2007 H-D Street Bob.

‘While I feel like I’ve always been riding, the most miles I log annually have definitely been since 2004 when I began to learn about and become involved with women’s riding groups.   I am one of the founding members of Bridge City Thunder, the

Saskatoon chapter of Women In The Wind.  I have attended and participated in planning several women’s motorcycle rallies as well as many local riding events in the last few years.’

These experiences have given Joanne the opportunity to meet, ride with, and befriend countless amazing women from all over Canada and the US.  She really enjoys mentoring to women who are new to riding and finds it exciting to watch their enthusiasm and progress.   She feels truly fortunate to be a part of the great revelation that is happening for women riders.
