  ISSUES & ADVOCACY

MCC deals with a variety of motorcycling issues, at the Federal and International levels.
In addition, we collaborate with provincial and local federations, associations and clubs to either support their direct activities, or take a lead if there are no local resources. We also partner with the industry on issues of common concern.

  BULLETINS & NEWS

British Columbia makes changes to regulations regarding new motorcycle riders.
B.C. introduces Canada’s toughest impaired driving laws!
  • Motorcyclists across Ontario (and we have heard from riders across Canada too!) are outraged to hear of Private Members Bill 117 (Helena Jaczek, MPP Oak Ridges-Markham ) that would amend the Ontario Highway Traffic Act to make it illegal for anyone to operate a motorcycle with a passenger who is under the age of 14.  The MPP feels that there is enough risk to merit a law, but others - including the Canada Safety Council disagree, claiming that there is no evidence to support this move.
  • Riders and concerned citizens (non-riders) and rider groups have written to express their concern.  You too can be active in this fight.
