New Chairperson, Officers and Directors elected to the Motorcyclists Confederation of Canada (MCC). The Motorcyclists Confederation of Canada (MCC) is pleased to announce the election of Kellee Irwin, as Chairperson for 2011 - 2013.  Ms. Irwin serves as Vice President, Personal Insurance for the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia.  She replaces Liz Jansen who has completed her two-year term but will remain on the Board as Past-Chair.

Eleven motorcycling legends and champions are to be inducted into the Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame on November 5th, 2011 at the Delta Meadowvale Resort and Conference Centre in Mississauga, Ontario.  This accomplished group of men and women have achieved excellence in one or more competitive disciplines or made a significant contribution to the well-being, advancement or general positive image of motorcycling in Canada.

International Trails Day  

The Motorcyclists Confederation of Canada (MCC) is pleased to support the celebration of International Trails Day in Canada, which is a perfect opportunity to explore the numerous trails throughout the country and support the local not-for-profit and community organizations that maintain them.  MCC recognizes the leadership role of the provincial off-road motorcycling federations in educating riders and promoting safe and responsible trail riding.

 
 

MCC has announced their new President, Daniel Tessier, will guide the Board's efforts to increase membership, improve our governance structure, increase revenue, enhance the member benefits package, improve our outreach efforts to a wide range of stakeholders, raise MCC's profile and strengthen our role as the voice of motorcyclists in Canada.

The Results Are In! Off-Road Vehicle Riding Is Good For Your Body and Soul

Toronto, Ontario, August 26, 2010 –The Canadian Off-Highway Vehicle Distributors Council (COHV) and its funding partners the All-Terrain Quad Council of Canada (AQCC), the Motorcyclist Confederation of Canada (MCC) and the government of Nova Scotia have received the first of four reports from York University, confirming that riding all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and off-road motorcycles (ORMs) is good for your body and soul.
 
"Jamie F. Burr, Veronica K. Jamnik, Jim A. Shaw and Professor Norman Gledhill at York University’s Physical Activity and Chronic Disease Unit, Faculty of Health conducted the study. The purpose of the research -- to characterize the physiological demands of recreational off-road vehicle (ORV) riding under typical ORV riding conditions using habitual recreation ORV riders.
